Optical lens is an indispensable component in the machine vision system. It directly affects the quality of the imaging. It affects the implementation and effect of the algorithm.
Optical lenses have many specifications.
Optical lenses can be divided into belows.
Short-focus lenses, medium-focus lenses, and telephoto lenses from the focal length.
And wide-angle, standard, and telephoto lenses from the field of view.
And fixed-iris ,manual-iris and automatic aperture fixed focus lens.
Then vari-focal lens, automatic lens lens, automatic aperture motorized lens.
Last motorized three variable (aperture, focal length, focus variable) lenses, etc.
The lens only has a focus adjustment ring that we can adjust. Rotating the ring to the left and right can make the image on the CCD clearest.
Without the aperture adjustment ring, we can’t adjust the aperture. And the luminous flux entering the lens cannot be changed . It can only be adjusted by changing the illumination of the field of view.
Manual aperture fixed focus lens adds aperture adjustment ring . The aperture range generally ranges from F1.2 or F1.4 to fully closed.
And it can easily adapt to the light intensity of the scene being photographed. The aperture adjustment is performed manually. The illumination is relatively uniform.
Adding micro motor to the aperture adjustment ring of the lens. And leading it from the drive circuit 3 or 4-core shielded cable. It will be connected to the camera’s automatic aperture connector base.
When the light flux into the lens changes, the CCD target surface changes accordingly. So that the video signal level changes. It generate a control signal. And it is transmitted to the automatic aperture lens. so the motor in the lens rotates in the corresponding forward to complete the adjustment task.
The focal length is variable. There is a focus adjustment ring that can adjust the focal length of the lens .
In practical applications, you can easily select the market angle by manually adjusting the zoom ring .
However, after the camera installation, it is inconvenient to manually adjust the zoom frequently. Therefore, it is hard to adjust the focal length of the manual zoom lens. Only serves as a fixed focus lens.
You can control the focal length of the lens when you move it.
And another motor is to complete the focus of the lens .
However, due to the addition of two motors and the increase in the number of lens groups, we need ot increase the volume of the lens accordingly.
